Colleen + Matt’s wedding was a highlight of the year. New York wasn’t just the backdrop for their wedding—their neighborhood was part of the celebration itself.
From the Bowery Hotel to portraits in Elizabeth Street Garden, a night procession down Bowery Avenue with a saxophonist and a crowd of cheering strangers, and finally a wildly beautiful dinner party at Il Buco. They didn’t try to create some separate, perfectly controlled wedding environment. They moved through the city, brought their people along, and embraced everything happening around them. The crowds, noise, movement, and unpredictability are exactly what made the day feel so alive. There was something distinctly New York about the whole thing—in all its style and, most importantly, its chaos.
