A lifelong observer, Alexandria knows what it's like to be on the outside looking in. Informed by documentary photography, her work gives voice to her clients as they really are, instead of asking them to be a certain way. She traces her artistic lineage to photographers such as Lee Friedlander and Mary Ellen Mark.
Before starting her own wedding photography business, she formally studied photography in college. Her point of view was further shaped by working as a photo assistant on editorial and advertising campaigns, as a second photographer on high-profile weddings and events, and as a producer at a post-production studio with an ethical approach to retouching.

Alexandria’s hobbies include thrifting for vintage clothes and home decor, being a below-average skier, and traveling somewhere quieter than New York City.
She’s a Cole Sprouse fanatic and doesn’t like podcasts. If she were president, she’d outlaw LinkedIn, valet parking, and car salesmen on her first day. She loves art and design that nod to the past, whether that’s the vintage-inspired textiles of Emily Bode or the mid-century-inspired interiors of Paige Wassel.
You’ll find her most often in Manhattan or Montauk, but she regular photographs weddings upstate and throughout the Northeast. That said, she rarely says no to an opportunity to travel, so if you’re thinking Mexico City or a ranch in Wyoming, you can count her in.

Of course, she’ll also make sure you get those must-have family shots (but never during cocktail hour, because she firmly believes you deserve to enjoy it).
Over time, she’s seen that the photos that her couples treasure the most are invariably the ones that emerge from unstudied moments, not from being prompted or directed. Which is why she solemnly swears that she’ll never ask you to assemble a 10-page shot list, have an 18-person wedding party for the sake of photos, or fake a champagne toast in matching pajamas as you get ready.
In no particular order, her favorite weddings often involve venues brimming with character, spontaneity, multicultural celebrations, and a focus on guest experience. If the aesthetic is on point, that’s a bonus.

"Everyone told us there would be a million little details but you don’t realize until you’re there how every moving part will fall into place. The one thing we never worried about was Alex."
